Gourding the Tower of Posies

This still life started as a ink drawing with watercolour. The piece was completed in one sitting and so when watercolour was applied the supposedly permanent India ink started to move as it had not set completely. To address the movement, I applied soft pastel which contributed to interesting texture and rich colour.
