Out of the Mist

Sometimes artwork needs to be set free. There was something missing with this mixed media painting until I added the mist and then it soared. Creating the mist was puzzling to me until I watched a tutorial by John Lovett. He recommended a thinned gesso to create the effect. What do you think?
