On the Don after A.J. Casson

A.J. Casson is one of my favourite Group of Seven painters. I like the unusual choice of view looking down into the Don River and the yellow fall colours contrasting with the blue water and shadows in this painting. After discovering the paint colours Casson used, I set out to study his work by rendering this painting using his palette.
