A.J. Casson was a late addition to the Group of Seven. He set out to paint in his own style, choosing to favour watercolour paintings of villages over landscapes of untouched Canadian wilderness in oil. His story-telling of his subject and his less impressionistic, clean lines make him one of my favourite Group of Seven painters. I undertook this study of Casson's painting, Bobcaygeon.
