Acrylic on canvas, framed
12 x 16
This painting is inspired by a photograph I took of a community carousel in North Bay, Ontario. Each horse was painted by different local artists. This subject appealed to me because while I have painted horses, I have never attempted painting artificial full size representations. The colours and designs were inspiring. Of course I took artistic liberties and changed colours and images in favour of enhancing the composition of the final painting.
